Your Diet And Its Effect On Your Oral Health, Swollen Gums
Brushing and flossing daily is not enough in having healthy set of teeth and gums and in preventing gum diseases. Having a healthy and nutritious diet will protect your teeth from tooth decay, swollen gums, reeding gums and bad breath and keep the gums healthy. However, your options for a healthy diet may also be limited, ,milk, fruits, bread, cereals and some vegetables contains sugar and or starches and like carbonated sodas, sugary snacks and drinks intake should be limited.
Gum Disease and tooth decay are caused by bacteria and they cover the teeth with plaque. If plaque is not removed the bacteria will breakdown the starches and sugar into acids that will damage the tooth enamel. And if plaque still stays inside the mouth it will develop into gum inflammation or gingivitis.
Proper oral hygiene combined with well- balanced and nutritious diet is essential in achieving a healthy gums and teeth and preventing gum diseases. Using oral health products can also aid in preventing bacteria build up but be sure to have the ones that are safe and effective, go natural have the ones that contain only natural ingredients they are safe for they do not contain harsh ingredients that may irritate the gums and tooth.
